This gorgeous Buena Vista wedding was one for the books. It was the perfect weekend to have a wedding. The rain stayed away but the weather was overcast which allowed Rachael & Devin’s ceremony site to photograph beautifully with the mountains in the background and the fall colors popping through.
On a beautiful autumn day I hopped in the car with the extraordinary Brittany Renee Photography and drove to Buena Vista for her wedding with this lovely couple. Their ceremony was short & sweet but filled with love & affection for each other. A couple of young deer were grazing in the background & the colors were spectacular. The clouds parted just enough to give us beautiful mountain views as they spoke their commitments to each other.
Complete with jewel tones, fall colors, a gorgeous mountain ceremony site, the couple also had their reception at the Surf Chateau which has become my new favorite wedding venue. The outside of the hotel has sleek European architecture with a small mountain town feeling. The decor is beautiful and simplistic & modern even with its tall windows and elegant arches. The ballroom has dark tones but would be absolutely perfect for both light & airy and dark & moody decor. Rachael & Devin had the most beautiful decor with gorgeous floral designs by Petal & Flour (who I HIGHLY recommend! She did an incredible job AND was nice as heck!!)
The Chateau & hotel offer incredible architectural backdrops along with tons of nature landscapes all around the area. It’s right off the river & the town is super cute with colorful homes lining the streets. I felt like I was in Santa Cruz if Santa Cruz was a European mountain town. I really loved the whole effect & would highly recommend this gorgeous venue to anyone wanting a laid back but elegant Buena Vista wedding.
